Your shoulders are made up of bones, tendons, ligaments and muscles that connect the arm to the torso. The shoulder has two joints — the acromioclavicular joint and the glenohumeral joint — which allow the arm to move. Because the area is so complex, there are many issues that can occur and cause reduced movement and pain.
Shoulder pain is very common and affects many Australians. Most patients feel some level of pain, a limited range of motion, an inability to do the activities they're used to, or even something more serious. At your first consultation we take a detailed history to understand your shoulder pain and how it began — and we offer a free 15-minute phone consultation if you'd like to discuss it before booking.

Common causes of shoulder pain
Shoulder pain has many possible causes, including:
- A stress fracture from too much weight or pressure on the clavicle
- Osteoarthritis, where the protective cartilage has worn down
- Bruising from force trauma or accidents
- Poor sleep posture affecting the shoulder region
How we help
Shoulder injuries are often associated with a lack of thoracic spine mobility, and this type of injury responds well to joint manipulation and adjustment.
Shoulder pain can be debilitating, but it isn't something you need to live with. Let James Zheng (Chiropractor) improve your shoulder pain by focusing on the root issue and get you moving again.
