Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?

No referral is needed. You can book directly with us as a new patient. If you have a care plan or referral from your GP, bring it along and we'll work in with it.

What happens during my first visit?

Your initial consultation includes a thorough history, a physical assessment and, where appropriate, your first treatment. We'll explain what we find and agree on a plan together before any care begins.

Do you offer health fund rebates and HICAPS?

Yes. We accept all major health funds and have HICAPS on site, so eligible patients can claim their rebate on the spot and only pay the gap.

How long does an appointment take?

Your initial consultation typically runs 35–45 minutes to allow time for a full assessment. Standard follow-up consultations are usually 25–30 minutes.

Is chiropractic care suitable for all ages?

We care for patients across all life stages, from children to older adults, tailoring our techniques to each person's needs and comfort.

How much does an appointment cost?

An initial consultation is $105 and runs 35–45 minutes, including a full history, assessment and your first treatment where appropriate. Standard consultations are $83, and patients aged 18 and under are $70. Health fund rebates can be claimed on the spot with HICAPS.

Which health funds do you accept?

All major Australian health funds are accepted, including Bupa, Medibank, HCF, nib, AHM and HBF. The clinic has HICAPS on site, so eligible patients claim their rebate at the time of payment and only pay the gap.

Can I book a chiropractor appointment online?

Yes. Patients can book online through the booking page, or call the clinic on +61 493 128 000 if they prefer to speak with the team first.

Do you take walk-ins, or is it by appointment?

Consultations are strictly by appointment so we can set aside enough time for each patient. You can book online or call the clinic on +61 493 128 000.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 12 hours' notice to change or cancel an appointment. A late cancellation within 12 hours of the appointment is charged at 50% of the session cost, and a missed appointment (no-show) is charged the full appointment fee.

Do you offer a free phone consultation?

Yes. Body Therapy Chiropractic offers a free 15-minute phone consultation for new patients — available in English, Mandarin or Cantonese — to talk through whether chiropractic care may be suitable before booking.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Patients should bring any relevant scans, reports, referral letters, private health fund card and a list of current medications or health conditions. If they do not have scans, that is fine; the chiropractor can advise if anything further is needed.

Do I need X-rays or scans before my first visit?

No. X-rays or scans are not required to book. Bring any existing imaging or reports along, and the chiropractor will advise during your assessment if further imaging is appropriate.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on the condition, how long it has been present and how your body responds. After the initial assessment the chiropractor will outline a personalised care plan and review your progress at each visit.

What chiropractic techniques do you use?

Our chiropractors primarily use diversified technique, a hands-on approach to joint and soft-tissue care. Gianna also offers the Activator technique, a low-force, instrument-assisted option that can suit patients who prefer gentler adjustment. The chiropractor will discuss which approach is most appropriate for you at your assessment.

Do you see pregnant patients and children?

Yes. Our chiropractors care for pregnant patients and for children, adapting their assessment and techniques to each patient's stage and comfort. Care is always tailored following an individual assessment.
