Tension headaches
One of the more common types of headache is the 'tension headache'. Muscular tension builds up in the neck, shoulders and upper back and contributes to the pain. That tension can come from sitting too long at a computer or simply from mental stress.
Another common cause is overall poor posture and spine alignment. When a patient has poor head and neck posture — for instance a forward head posture — the muscles are already under a high level of tension, and in this state mental stress can more easily trigger a painful headache.
